Capacity Building

I am passionate about raising awareness for FND. To improve patient care and treatment outcomes for those living with FND, I conduct webinars and organizational presentations for health professionals eager to learn about and treat FND. In these talks I discuss:

• What we know about FND - symptoms, subtypes, and etiological theories.
• How to help patients to understand their diagnosis and connect empathically to help them accept the diagnosis. 
• How FND is treated through a multidisciplinary team, and,
• Developing symptom management and relapse prevention plans.

My health promotion work extends to serving on the social media committee of the FND Society, the peak international educational and research society for FND, and managing the FND Psychotherapy Network Facebook group, which comprises over 150 clinicians working with or interested in treating FND.
